Calgary Stampede Exhibition
Actually, it is an agricultural exhibition, its roots go back to 1886, that time Alberta surely was a rural province but today it produces less than two percent of growth. Also called Calgary Stampede Midway, is actually operated by North American Midway Entertainment and started by Conklin Shows, since 1976. The midway is considered an important part of the Stampede and it begins on Thursday night before other events of the festival. This night is also called "sneak-a-peek" night. One can enjoy concert called Nashville North and Coca-Cola Stage and more.
Also called Stampede Market is a famous market last for 10 days, located the northwest corner of the park at the BMO center, it is a huge place where vendors sell artwork, toys, household goods, food and many other items. The market is divided into sections; popular one is called 'The Western Oasis, which offers cowboy and western-themed artwork, bronze statues to take back home along with, craftwork and foods. Many people love wine at stampede market. The competition gets high among vendors because every year almost million people visit it.
